CASA 101    is a one hour overview that explores PARACHUTE's mission, and the many ways that individuals can make an immediate difference in the lives of local abused and neglected  children.

A child’s best hope is a CASA volunteer

With a CASA volunteer, a child is more likely to spend less time in foster care.  Children who are assigned a CASA volunteer are more likely to find a safe, loving, permanent home.

We won’t rest until every child has a CASA volunteer

Today, CASA volunteers across the county, only reach 35% of the kids each year that are at risk. That means half a million kids don't have access to a CASA volunteer.

Volunteer!

PARACHUTE is a non-profit agency dedicated to providing trained community volunteers to children who are in the Juvenile Court system due to abuse, neglect or abandonment; these volunteers are willing to take a stand for the county's most vulnerable children. The CASA concept is based on the belief that every child has the right to a safe, permanent home, as soon as possible.

Since 1988, CASA volunteers have helped over 2,000 Butler County children find safe, permanent homes by recruiting, training and supervising 524 concerned community members to serve Butler County Juvenile Court as Court Appointed Special Advocate Volunteers.  CASA volunteers have attended 6,500 court hearings to speak up for the best interest of local abused and neglected children.
